WHAT WE’RE ABOUT

Rogue Valley Anglers Fly Shop strives to have everything you need for a successful day on the water, as well as keeping you comfy around town. Whether you’re spending a few hours on a creek Trout fishing, targeting Steelhead on a wild western river, Bass in one of our local lakes or on coastal flats for Bonefish; we have it all with by far the largest selection of inventory anywhere around the Rogue River and Southern Oregon!

Established in 2015, the shop and guide service can be found in downtown Medford, where you can find:

  • The largest Fly Tying Section around carrying all the best stuff from Hareline Dubbin, Wapsi, Montana Fly Co, Pro Tube, Aqua Flies, Spirit River, and the gang up at OPST (Olympic Peninsula Skagit Tactics).

  • The largest Fly Selection around. We tie and sell our own versions of all the famous Rogue River steelhead patterns like the Ugly Bug, Otis Bug, giant Prince Nymphs etc. We also carry all the best from Solitude Fly Company, Catch Flies, and Montana Fly Company. TONS of Flies for Summer and Winter Steelhead on the swing or under an indicator, a huge Trout Fly Selection, as well as flies for Bass, Bonefish, Permit, Tarpon, GT's, and more...Yep we got em!

  • A huge selection of Single Handed and Two Handed Fly Rods from Sage, Winston, Beulah, Echo, and Redington rods. Along with Fly Fishing Reels for Trout and a really sweet selection of larger Spey Fly Fishing Reels for Steelhead and Saltwater fishing. We carry Hardy, Ross, Sage, Lamson, Tibor, Cheeky, Redington, and Echo Fly FIshing Reels.

  • A huge selection of the very best Waders and Boots in Fly Fishing from industry leaders Simms, Patagonia, Grundens, and Korkers.

  • All the Spey/Switch, Single Hand, and Nymphing fly lines you’d ever need from RIO, Scientific Anglers, and Airflo. Not to mention tons of tips, tippet, leaders, sink tips and polyleaders to complete the rigging of your fly setup.

  • Great selection of the best outdoor clothing, packs and other gear from Simms, Patagonia, Grundens, Fishpond, Costa, Smith/Suncloud, and Umpqua.

  • The very best fly fishing guides on the Rogue. Our owner Alex has guided for almost 20 years and knows exactly who the few truly great guides are, and who is a rookie who thinks hooking 1 steelhead and a bunch of smolt in a day nymphing is great when our guides all hooked 4 or more steelhead that same day with spey rods! Every year we see more and more new guides who just bought a boat and have floated 20 days instead of the thousands of days all our guides have floated this river, so make sure you call us when you want the very best fly fishing to be had here in sourthern Oregon. There are several out of state and even local outfitters that are just trying to push out as many trips as possible and will hire anyone with a boat, but that’s not us. We don’t have other jobs and just think being a fly fishing guide would be a cool summer job cause our parents bought us a boat…
