RIO InTouch Skagit Trout Spey Fly Line - #4 Weight 325 Grains - SALE!
RIO InTouch Skagit Trout Spey Fly Line - #4 Weight 325 Grains - SALE!
The RIO InTouch Skagit Trout Spey line is the line choice for you if you are Spey casting with either a light, trout Spey rod or a single-hand rod and wish to Spey cast large streamers. The Skagit version of the RIO Trout Spey lines has a more powerful taper for turning over heavier sink-tips and heavier flies. To setup your rig with the RIO Skagit Trout Spey line, you do not need a separate running line. Just connect this line to your backing and then add your sink-tip of choice. Along with RIO, we recommend the RIO Light MOW Tips as good tips to use with this line. If you want only a floating line setup, you will still need to add a tip, so choose the Light MOW Tip in the Floating version. The Skagit Trout Spey line is not designed to cast without a tip on it.
To determine what size you need from the table below, use the "RIO's Line Size" column if you will be using a Spey rod. Use the "Single Handed Line Size" column if you will be using a standard single-handed fly rod.
HERE IS WHAT RIO HAS TO SAY ABOUT THEIR INTOUCH SKAGIT TROUT SPEY LINE
The InTouch Skagit Trout Spey line is a very easy casting, short head style line that will throw big flies and fast sinking tips with exceptional ease. This is the perfect line for swinging and stripping streamers for anglers using light two-handed trout Spey rods, as well as regular single-handed fly rods (just check the grain weight to match).
Each line is made on RIO’s ultra-low stretch ConnectCore for maximum sensitivity, and is built with a seamlessly integrated running line for ease of use. An additional tip needs to be attached to complete this line, and we recommend a Light Skagit MOW tip for the best result when casting large flies.
Ideal for two-handed Trout Spey rods, and single-handed rods
Short, powerful taper design for casting large flies and sink tips with exceptional ease
Loops on each end for fast rigging
Integrated running line – no loops to catch
The #4 Weight Line is 325 Grains with a 16’ Head on a 100’ line. This line also works great to spey cast streamers on a single handed #7 weight fly rod.
