Used on Wooly bugger tails, palmering spey flies, and about anything else. I tie all my marabou on intruders using the blook quills, as there are more feathers with smaller stems that you can wrap around a shank. You certainly get some of those in X-Select Marabou, but not near as many so you have to cut a lot of it off the stems and tie it on using dubbing loops more often with the X-Select. Hareline Dubbin
