CLASSIC SPEY reels are offered in 3/4/5 (3-3/4” trout spey), 5/6/7 (4” switch and spey) and 7/8/9 (4-1/4” spey) sizes. Each version features a powerful triple-pawl system with enough adjustable drag to tame angsty anadromous opponents, enough audible click to sound the alarm and enough palm-able rim to maintain control. Constructed from machined 6061-T6 aluminum, the classically ported mid-arbor, wide-spool design is thoughtfully weighted to balance two-handed rods, and its durable build delivers fast line pickup – making it the perfect fit for a lifetime of good times on the water.

We really like these new reels from Redington, as they have a great look, a great sound, and a tight enough spring to give a little more tension than most of the Hardy reels that we have always loved! Great intro reel into spey fishing with a Click and Pawl as you can palm it which really helps for people who like to use mono running lines, and fish for big enough steelhead to get into the backing.
