Echo Full Spey Rods
Echo Full Spey Rods
These are some of our favorite spey rods without breaking the bank! The 13’ #6 is an incredible summer steelhead rod, and is powerful enough to fish all winter here on the Rogue as it can cast larger intruders which not many #6 weights can do.
Rajeff Sports has come out with a line of mid-priced medium-fast Spey rods that do a variety of things well: the Echo Full Spey Series. The Full Spey series focuses on only three rod models: a 13’ 6wt, 13’ 7wt, and a 13’ 8wt. These rods were designed to cast farther, flex deeper, and maintain a level of forgiveness to cater to all anglers regardless of skill level. The Full Spey is a great purposeful rod series from Echo and remains true to Echo’s mission to create affordable, high-performing fly rods.
Blank
Lightweight High-Modulus Blank - The blank of the Echo Full Spey rod series has a durable profile and sports a med-fast rod action. Echo uses modern resin systems to create a rod blank that is lightweight, durable, and powerful. The Full Spey Series is capable despite decreased rod weight. These rods have a stiff butt section for increased lifting power and ample fish-fighting ability.
Guides
SiC Stripping Guides - The Echo Full Spey rods have two SiC stripping guides to allow fly line to move through the rod with ease. These guides create low friction and low resistance when casting or retrieving line to simplify an angler’s connection to the fish.
Hard Chrome Snake Guides - Hard chrome snake guides add durable functionality to the design of the Echo Full Spey rods. These guides stand up to abuse on and off the water.
Reel Seat
Anodized Aluminum - The Echo Full Spey Series has a corrosion-proof black anodized aluminum reel seat designed to protect against the elements and efficiently hold a Spey reel in place without adding extra weight to the rod. A double uplocking component helps secure large Spey reels.
