Heavy Wire, Tapered-loop up-eye, forged 10 pack Uses: Spey Patterns, Salmon Steelhead Flies

This is our go to spey hook for classic steelhead flies when fishing to bigger steelhead and you want a bigger profile then the size #5. The size #3 and #1.5 non heavy wire versions of these hooks can break on 10+ pound Maxima so we always recommend getting the heavy wire version if you fish for 10+ pound steelhead. We’ve never had problems with the size #5 and smaller non heavy wire hooks breaking on big steelhead even with 12# Maxima.

We got the last of the #3 Heavy Wire Spey Hooks from Daiichi when they were still licensed to sell them (before Alec sadly passed), which is why we can sell them at such a great price! Once these are gone we will have to sell them at similar prices to the size #1.5 Heavy Wire hooks, as everyone can only get Alec Jackson hooks from Hareline from now on as only they have the license to sell these hooks now. We had to buy these in 100 packs and split up into 10 packs ourselves to get such good prices, so they won’t be labeled but we assure you these are the real deal.
